April 20: Sonic/SML Friday Night Cruise-In

In 1974 a movement in the hotrod world was being shaken up.. Newer cars were becoming hotrods. There were plenty of older car clubs but nothing for this new found hot rod.
A group of guys seeing a need started SML(Street Machines Limited), also at this time car craft magazine was experimenting with big gatherings for shows..So, in 1977 car craft started the Street Machine Nationals. What better club to host it than SML. In those early days SML had 100's of member.They flourished as did the car show. But as always,good things end and Car Craft shifted the show to Illinois. After a few years SML membership started declining. Sometime in the 90's SML went into a hold with not much activity.
But in 2009 a few of the older members along with some new members had a meeting and decided to bring SML back!..
Teaming up with the Sonic Drive-In,and a great core of people,
SML is back and strong as ever.

We give to different charities.
We are helping the disaster victim's in Henryville,In
and surrounding towns.
